Once I had a little 'excitement for a propane refrigerator. Propane refrigerators can be a pain to start. I knew this because the only way you could use the fire lookout was propane. The only power is battery powered. I was shown as a refrigerator, as someone with experience of light. Some of these may be refrigerated in a few d-light batteries. Others need a meeting to enlightenment.
There was a whole routine to go throughLight in the fridge. Turn on the gas. Wait a few minutes to go to the gas along the line to the refrigerator. Turn the valve to the starting position and press it on, the game keeps you on the illuminated surface and the hope that it worked. Sometimes the light would quickly without any problems. Other times it took several attempts to listen to a couple of games, before receiving the rustling sound of natural gas was burning.
My excitement began when I was sent to clean house staff on an island on a largeLake, who had just left. The island was a man made road access to the mainland. I was there for a couple of days, so I tried to open the refrigerator propane. The person who had installed was not much thought to the fact that someone would light a day. The length of the hose propane, in order to move the refrigerator and leaving the rear access was very short. It 'been hard to come close enough to light the pilot light with a match.I tried to light a couple of times, always with a match, but the game before turning on the refrigerator burned. Then I had an idea. I would first try a little 'light the propane torch and the light in the fridge with the form of flames to come. The advantage of the torch should not burn, as did the game. That worked. The light is on the refrigerator. The valve has begun the initial position of the refrigerator to cool upside down.
I went fora few minutes to get some food. When I returned to the house staff, with an arm full of groceries, it was a little 'smoke in the room. I knew something was wrong. I checked the fridge and I saw a gas-powered power to shoot fire from his back. There were no fire extinguishers in the building. I knew the nearest fire extinguisher that was moored to a pier of the boats on the island. I immediately ran down the hill to get the fire extinguisher. Sprinting back to the house staffcould see smoke from the open door.
Braving the smoke, I sprayed the flag of the fire from the refrigerator and the wall behind it with a fire extinguisher. White sea spray and smoke was everywhere. When the fire was out, I found the gas valve, goes to the fridge and put it down. That was close. Within minutes the whole place in a huge explosion of fire would be gone. I had to report the fire in the office. They have propane refrigeratorsAnd 'known to catch fire on several occasions. The boss was happy that the staff house was saved, and that fire damage minimal.
